These precision milled, solid brass templates make installing the Brusso quadrant hinges incredibly easy and stress free. Available in two sizes, these templates correspond to the two sizes of quadrant hinge offered. Made in America by Brusso, the C3771 template requires a 1/2" guide bush and a 5/16" router cutter and the C3772 template requires a 3/4" guide bush and a 1/2" router cutter. ©

I'm a professional box maker and have used Brusso quadrant hinges on many occasions. To date I've always cut the recesses in my boxes using my router table but what a cumbersome, time consuming method it has proved to be. Finally, I bit the bullet and invested in one of these. The template is made to the same high standard as the hinges, very solidly built, all right angles proved to be accurate, and most importantly it made the process of cutting the hinge recess a breeze. Having equipped myself with the appropraitely sized cuitter and guide bush I was rewarded with a perfectly cut recess. The hinge was a beautiful snug fit with no gaps. I would recommend downloading the installation instruction pdf provided by Brusso for details of recommended guide bush and router cutter sizes. Even if you only have a couple of pairs of hinges to install and are concerned about achieving top quality results I'd say this template is still a good buy.
