For use in large timber construction, these washer head screws are set to take over from the traditional coach screw. Offering a secure and permanent fastening without the need for pre-drilling the timber, these screws feature a deep, sharp thread which cuts through the wood without splitting it. Like the other Spax screws, the lower part of the screw thread has ground serrations making the passage of the screw through the wood smoother and requiring less effort. The broad washer style head allows the screw to be fully tightened without risk of the head sinking into the wood and causing the joint to become loose. The T-STAR T40 recess offers optimum torque transfer meaning shorter screw in times and less effort. Made in Germany. ©
