The rounded feather tips are designed to exert pressure on the work piece without marking it and only allow the work piece to travel in one direction reducing kick-back. With large T knobs, the featherboard is easy to adjust offering 5 1/4" of travel and can exert strong clamping pressures on the work piece which results in smoother, chatter-free cutting.
