These are Eze Lap's best selling bench stones and is favoured by woodcarvers.Supplied with a leather wallet their 8"x3" dimensions make them ideal for razor sharp finishing on a wide variety of woodworking tools.They feature Eze Lap's patented diamond bonding process to ensure the flattest , most consistent diamond tool sharpening stone.A special heat treatment process bonds the highest quality industrial grade diamond particles in a stainless alloy.This results in a long lasting hard wearing surface that allows you to sharpen tungsten carbide , high speed steel , stainless steels , ceramic and even specialist tool steels.Three diamond grits are available.Medium (400 grit) for fast sharpening where a high finish quality is required ie auger bits , wood chisels and knives.Fine ( 600 grit) that has the ability to sharpen a dull knife in less than a minute and bring the edge to a razor sharp finish ie kitchen knives and general woodworking tools.Superfine (1200 grit) is designed to polish and fine finish to mirror perfection , ie scalpels , plane irons , carbide router cutters and fine edged woodworking tools.
