Dovetails produce extremely strong joints and are ideal for cabinets, drawers, boxes and many other furniture items. Sometimes though, it would be nice to add a little interest to your work. Unlike other systems that offer similar results this is a stand alone system that does not require the purchase of expensive jigs. For use with a router table, this easy to use precision joinery system offers a range of interesting interchangable joint templates that produce perfect joints every time without the need for measuring, complex calculations or trial and error. Accepting boards up to 14" wide and between 1/4" and 3/4" thick, this jointing jig works with an insert plate mounted guide bush and spiral cutter, both of which are included. The templates are held in the supplied aluminium platform and the three toggle clamps can be used in combination to keep the work clamped securely to the jig during routing. The small diameter guide bush follows the contours of the templates precisely for a clean, accurate cut. This set comprises aluminium jig platform and hardware, three toggle clamps, a 3/16" HSS spiral up cut bit, a 14 degree dovetail bit, 7.8mm guide bush, 7.9mm guide bush, 11.1mm guide bush, a brass centring pin, two spring clamps and a 3/8" square brass set up bar. The included four templates are half blind and through dovetail templates, a heart template and a key template. An easy to use, cost effective system that produces stunning results. ©

this is much more simple than using a bench top dovetail jig and the fancy shaped joints i make are always being admired by customers. if only they knew how simple they were to make! i always get nice tight fitting joints and the results are better than anything i ever achieved with my standalone dovetail jig which has now gone on ebay!
