The four ultra sharp saws in this set will provide efficient cutting results for any joinery project. Each saw features Japanese style triple bevelled teeth and is capable of clean and rapid cutting on both the push and pull strokes. These teeth are diamond sharpened and hardened to give the keenest possible edge for the longest possible time and will slice through hardwood, softwood, MDF and plastics with ease. The saw blades have an extremely tough, low friction coating to make cutting faster and to increase the working life of the blades. Each saw has a thick, egonomically designed, moulded plastic handle which offers greater transmission of power to the work. We compared these saws with other well know brands of saw and we were impressed with how quickly and cleanly they cut. This set of four ultra sharp saws comprises two 550mm handsaws, one with 12 ppi and the other with 8 ppi, a 380mm 12 ppi toolbox handsaw and a 300mm 12 ppi tenon saw. ©

I've long been a fan of triple beveled tooth saws as they always seem to give a cleaner cut especially in pine. And the black coating on them makes them run much smoother than my other saws when sawing thick timbers. These are definitely some of the best saws I've used.

I bought this set of saws in late 2009. I use Japanese pull saws and get a good. clean cut so I decided to buy these saws. I have used then on solid oak, plywood, mdf and tanellized railway sleepers (for raised veggie beds) The cut pefectly, with no wander. Handles are comfortable

I bought a set of these a few months ago (for staff use in a school workshop) and have difficulty keeping track of them - our maintenance people are forever borrowing them and the carpenter says he has never used better saws. We all find them far superior to anything else we have.

Years since I used hand saws except for a bit of trimming of teak when laying teak decks on yachts. Always set up my table saw, band saw and mitre saw. Saws have certainly come a long way since when I used them over 40 years ago. They are so good at ripping and cross cutting, I hardly bother now getting out my chop/mitre saw for cutting down long pieces of solid timber. Not only that, they work great on boards of all types and actually quicker and easier than setting up a guide and hand machine. And what value? Who'd have thought you could buy even one of these saws for 30 quid, never mind four of them. What is more, I have Arthritis and not much strength in my hands and arms, but all you have to do with these guys is simple pull them back and forth. Yes I am impressed.
