Do not be fooled. All veneer packs are not the same. If you buy a pack of oak veneer, for example, what you will get in that pack will be sheets of veneer that are all the same species but not necessarily cut from the same log or even from the same tree. The result is sheets that vary wildly in colour and grain formation and will not give a consistent look across your work. Sourced from America, our veneer packs are guaranteed sequence matched so not only are the leaves cut from the same log, they are also consecutively cut leaves which ensures perfectly matching grain pattern and an even colour across your work. Each pack includes 3 square feet of veneer with leaves measuring 12” in length and varying between 4.5” and 6.5” although all sheets in the pack will be the same width allowing you to create a uniform look to your veneering. These unbacked high grade veneers are ready for use out of the pack and are sanded, but unfinished. These veneers will accept all finishes from lacquers and varnishes to oils and waxes and may even be stained. For minimum possible wastage, the leaves are square cut and are free from knots, cracks and other faults, although small bark inclusions or holes may be present in the burred veneers. Please note: due to the varying density burred veneers may be slightly buckled, this is natural and will straighten out during the gluing process. The red and white oak are American species and differ in colour to English and European oak. ©
