Offering extra reach when trimming or lopping, these telescopic branch shears are a safer way of tackling hard to access branches as they remove the need to climb or use a ladder. Mainly aluminium in construction, these shears are light in weight yet very strong making them perfect for use overhead and with arms extended as they are not too heavy to cause rapid muscle fatigue. The blades are forged from SK5 high carbon steel. This steel offers an excellent mix of superior edge holding ability and abrasion resistance. This means that the blades are incredibly sharp and resistant to dulling even when cutting highly abrasive woods, allowing the blades to cut through limbs and branches cleanly without tearing or crushing the surrounding wood. The two halves of the shears are bolted together rather than rivetted as with lower cost shears. This allows you to tighten or loosen the shears to suit your specific requirements. These shears will cut, trim or lop branches up to 45mm in diameter and are perfect for maintaining smaller trees such as fruit trees. The handles extend from 750mm up to 1000mm and can be set anywhere in between the two to suit the reach and requirements of the user. These shears are a good investment for any gardener and will help to make essential maintenance work much safer. Made in Japan. ©
