The aluminium construction of these bypass shears makes them incredibly light in use. That is not to say they are in any way flimsy but weighing only 1150g these shears can be used all day, even overhead, without causing fatigue to the user. The combination of sturdy tubular handles and ultra sharp blades gives these shears the power to cut, trim or lop any branch or limb up to 45mm in diameter. The blades are forged from SK5 steel, a high carbon steel specially suited to edge cutting tools. The structure of the steel allows it to take a fine, razor like edge and, with a high abrasion resistance, will cut even very abrasive materials without dulling. Being extra sharp, these blades will cut without tearing or crushing the surrounding growth and will not cause damage to the shrub or tree being trimmed. With an overall length of 760mm, these shears are long enough to access hard to reach areas without having to climb or struggle. These are excellent shears and ones that will make light work of all trimming and maintenance tasks in the garden. Made in Japan. ©
