The onion hoe is used by bringing down the sharpened blade in short chopping strokes toward the user. This motion has the advantage that it is safer to use when working close to plants and it is commonly used for building up soil around vegetable crops such as onions, potatoes and celery. Other core uses are for creating narrow trenches ready to sow seeds and plant seedlings. The handle is made of straight grained ash which is ergonomically contoured for user comfort and an excellent grip. The handle has a durable oil finish and both the blade and neck are fully forged for strength and longevity. Hand forged in Holland. ©
Dakota Holland garden tools are covered by a 15 year guarantee meaning that they will be free of any manufacturing defects. If a customer should find any manufacturing related defect, either the garden tool or faulty component will be replaced free of charge.
