This copper tanked sprayer with stainless steel piston is built for the professional or discerning home gardener and can be used to spray non aggressive substances such as pesticides and insecticides, plant feeds and even water. The copper tank makes this sprayer considerably more durable than the cheaper plastic tanked versions. Plastic is prone to perishing after long periods exposed to the sun as the UV rays from the sun cause the structure of the plastic to degrade. Not so with metal. This sprayer has a stainless steel piston that will not oxidise when it comes into contact with certain chemicals such as sulphur. The 16 litre tank has a screw on filler cap under which a sieve style filter prevents any debris or unwanted matter entering the tank. A secondary, finer filter is sited in the handle of the lance and prevents finer particles from entering the lance and potentially clogging the nozzle. An external galvanised steel lever with rubber grip is used to pressurise the tank and is cranked to give extra clearance from the body. The lance measures 500mm in length and features a stainless steel ball tap to control the flow of fluid through the nozzle. The brass nozzle can be adjusted to give a fine mist or a diectional jet. In misting mode, the sprayer has a flow rate of around 0.8 litres per minute and in jet mode a flow rate of 1.3 litres per minute. The mist spreads at an angle of 30 degrees and the jet, under maximum pressure can reach up to 8m.
