A carver's screw is the ideal, unobtrusive way of clamping in-the-round woodcarvings. This set of two carvers screws offer the capability of holding both small and large carvings. The tapered thread screws into a pre-drilled hole in the bottom of the carving and is tightened using a specially designed hole on the wing nut. The remaining thread then fits into a doghole on the workbench and is fastened in place from below with the wing nut. These sturdy screws will work with all species of wood and the hardened threads will give years of service without any loss of performance due to wear. Set comprises small screw measuring 6 3/8" long by 1/2" diameter with wing nut and large screw measuring 9" long by 5/8" in diameter with wing nut. ©
