These Japanese rasps are a pleasure to use. They are exceptionally sharp cutting quickly and cleanly, do not clog even when working wet wood and are light in weight making them less tiring to use for large shaping tasks. Available in three grades; coarse, medium and fine, these rasps have ultra sharp, highly durable teeth that are backed by generously sized holes that allow swarf and dust to escape from the teeth efficiently and without clogging the rasp. These rasps have an integrated handle and the thin, rectangular section steel is strong, offers a sharp cutting edge to the teeth and is also light in weight. Ideal for grinding, shaping, chamfering and removing unwanted stock rapidly, these rasps can be used on all hardwoods, softwoods, composites and some plastics as well as other materials such as horn. The coarse rasp cuts on the pull stroke, the medium and fine rasps cut on the push stroke. The coarse and medium rasps measure 300mm in length and 34mm in width and the fine rasp measures 300mm in length and 32mm in width making it ideal for more detailed shaping tasks.
