Looking more like a fusion of dog leg chisel and plane blade than actual woodworking planes, this set of three cranked neck planes have many uses in the workshop. Possibly the most obvious use is for cleaning out corners, dovetails and other hard to reach areas as you would use a skew chisel but these planes can be used for cutting rebates, grooves and dadoes as well. Similar to a router plane, these planes allow you to cut stopped grooves and dadoes with far greater accuracy than is possible with an electric router as there is minimal risk of over or under cutting. Made from high speed steel, these planes feature 4mm thick blades that are 60mm long by 25mm wide and will cut using hand pressure only. The blades are detachable from the steel neck for easy sharpening and will hone to a razor like edge. The set of three planes features left and right hand skewed blades as well as a straight one. Each plane has its own solid bubinga handle. ©
