The new Bench Cookie Plus system brings an added level of functionality to this woodworker's favourite making the Bench Cookie even more useful around the workshop. These new Cookies have a threaded insert in the centre of each allowing them to accept the optional riser accessories. This gives you the capability of raising work off the bench securely for carrying out tasks such as cutting out with a jigsaw or circular saw. Each Cookie has a hard, highly durable core that does not deform under load and is faced on both flat sides with high friction rubber. This high grip rubber will hold the work firm without slipping or marking either surface. Measuring 76mm in diameter by 25mm thick, these cookies offer a large support area to the work. The optional risers are available in two sizes. The standard 35142 risers are double threaded allowing a Bench Cookie Plus to be screwed on to either end giving a three cookie height riser. Alternatively, screw just one cookie on to the riser and drop the riser into any 3/4" diameter bench dog hole to give greater stability to your work when performing heavy duty tasks. These risers are supplied in packs of two. The 34671 XL risers give you the option of raising the Bench Cookie Plus to the height of either two or three stacked bench cookies. A large square foot supports the cookie and riser assembly on the bench while the rod part of the riser below the foot will slot into any 3/4" round dog hole. This ensures the riser and cookie will not slip or move in use. These XL risers are supplied in a set of four. Also available is a pack of four Bench Cookie Plus and four XL risers. ©

The original bench cookies have proved their worth in my workshop over and over again and it looks like these new ones will be just as useful. The fact that I can locate them in the dog holes on my bench means they simply won't budge when I'm working.

what a great idea. being able to add extra height to the bench cookies is really helpful especially when i'm using my jigsaw. it also makes it more comfortable to work as i'm 6'5" and find my workbench a bit too low!
