It is widely acknowledged that the T bar is most resistant to twisting and distortion during clamping and these clamps with their cold drawn steel T bars are no exception. Cold drawn steel has greater tensile and yield strengths than standard hot rolled steel making these clamps capable of heavy duty, high pressure clamping, comfortably exerting up to 1900kg of pressure on the work piece. The premium quality malleable iron slide and head are both precision machined to glide along the bar for effortless set up and the jaws feature a slight taper which gives perfectly parallel clamping. The slide can be positioned anywhere on the T bar using the locating holes drilled at regular intervals along the bar. A large, solid, cold drawn steel pin keeps the slide firmly in position and will not bend or distort under load. Virtually unbreakable, the slide and head have a durable powder coat finish and the head features a solid steel, precision cut, rolled acme screw thread. Highly wear resistant, this screw gives a smooth and rapid clamping action and the strong steel handle gives the user enough leverage to apply the maximum amount of clamping pressure with minimal effort. Both the slide and head feature flat bottoms for unsupported clamping and drilled feet for more permanent bench mounting. Ideal for jointing large boards for table tops and other large scale applications, these T bar clamps are 60" long with a clamping capacity of 54". Manufactured at the same factory as the most well known brand of T bar clamps. ©
Lifetime Guarantee - The lifetime guarantee on these Dakota T bar clamps means that they will be free of any manufacturing defects. If any customer finds any manufacturing related defect, either the product or faulty component will be replaced free of charge.

Making tables and large cabinets, I've long been a fan of T bar clamps. Costing 30% less than my usual brand, I gave these Dakota ones a try and have to say I'm very impressed. They work and look (almost) identical to my other clamps. I'll be sticking with the Dakota clamps for any future purchases.

I added a set of 4 to the four record versions I have and can find no difference in quality. The only difference is in the price and I'm certainly not complaining about that. Excellent value!!!

Very pleased - look & perform as an excellent quality product, very smooth operation. One of the chains broken out of the pack of 4, which was a shame. Would have bought Record when made in Sheffield, but since Irwin outsourced to China, why would you?
