With more and more drill and screwdriver bits being mounted on industry standard 1/4" hex shanks, it is now following that more drills are being supplied with the corresponding 1/4" hex quick change chucks. This is fine if all of your bits have this type of mounting. If they do not, then you will need a chuck for your drill. This chuck is keyless making bit changes fast and very easy. Precision engineered for maximum performance, this chuck has perfectly machined gearing to give an ultra smooth opening and closing movement and a ratchet locking system ensures the jaws do not work loose when the chuck is being used. The rubberised plastic housing is shock resistant and ribbed to give you excellent purchase on the chuck when opening and closing it. A release nut assists with the removal of the drill bit ensuring that nothing gets stuck. The industry standard 1/4" hex shank provides superior shock resistance safe guarding the chuck from damage should the drill bit hit anything hard or even bind in the material being drilled. This chuck has a generous working capacity of 1.5mm up to 13mm and may be used for all sizes of drilling and screwing task. This chuck has an overall diameter of 42mm and an overall length of 109mm.
