Featuring seven sizes of carpenter's gouge, this set is ideal for shaping and sculpting as well as creating flutes and grooves. Made from a very hard alloy steel, these gouges can be honed to a razor sharp edge. The long, integral tangs are seated firmly in the solid ash handles and held secure with wide brass ferrules. Contoured for extra comfort by giving a more natural grip, these handles feature thick brass reinforcing bands to prevent them from splitting or spreading when struck with a mallet. Presented in a nylon tool roll, each gouge has its own compartment to keep the edges protected when not in use. Overall lengths of chisels are 265 - 290mm.
