This is the serious hammer for the serious carpenter and features all of the elite functionality and utility found in the lighter-weight hammers in the Douglas line. This 23 oz. framer is ready to bang and yank nails on any framing job and comes with a 16" cross over hickory handle and extreme rip claw. The precision milled face prevents the head from skidding off a nail and the magnetised nail set allows you to position and start nails in hard to reach places where hand holding of the nail is not possible. Recently updated, the integrated strike plate now has a matt finish for better hammer contact during use. The side nail pull provides maximum leverage for removing nails while the opposite side of the hammer has a striking surface useful if there is not enough space for striking with the head. As on all the Douglas hammers it features elongated steel strike plates, located where the hardened steel head meets the polished hickory handle which creates an incredibly stable bond and protects the handle from mis-strikes. The combination of exceptional balance and vibration dampening properties makes hammering as easy on the elbow as possible. ©

I built myself a large deck and shed at the old house. As a result lots of friends have asked if I can help them with their projects. This thing is a beast I can drive in a 4 inch nail with three strikes. Nail set is surprizingly helpful. Side nail pull is very powerful. If you frame then this will make it easier...or you could buy a nail gun?:-)
