At 16oz this framing hammer features the biggest of Stiletto's solid Titanium heads and has the same nail driving force as a conventional 30oz steel hammer, with 10 times less recoil shock. Fewer hits are needed as these lighter hammers pack significantly more of a punch than there much heavier steel counterparts. A magnetized groove in the head holds the nail while you set it, therefore making it much easier to reach greater heights whilst protecting your thumb and fingers. An ergonomically designed 18" curved axe style hickory handle makes the hammer a natural extension of your wrist reducing repetitive motion injuries like tendonitis. The head is held in place with two traditional steel expansion dowels. The significantly harder Titanium transfers much more force because it absorbs less of the impact than softer steel. This allows you to strike more rapidly and effectively with less effort. The milled head prevents the hammer skidding off nail heads and it will not wear at the rate of a conventional steel head. A fantastic hammer, feels worryingly light when first picked up but once you get used to it, it's great. 4" galv nails driven in 2 blows if you try one you'll never want a steel hammer again ! Throw your estwings away spend alittle extra and enjoy hammering instead of pins and needles in your hands !
