Ideal for very large cutting tasks in abrasive materials such as MDF and exotic hardwoods as well as for cutting all types of softwood and hardwood, this kataba saw has an extra hard saw blade and highly durable teeth. The teeth stay sharper for much longer and are not dulled easily even when cutting particle board and laminates. The triple bevel edged crosscut teeth leave a smooth finish to the cut. Kataba saws have slightly thicker blades than the dozuki saws making them stronger. This extra strength means the blade does not require the reinforcing spine that the dozuki saws do giving the kataba saws unrestricted cutting depth. The kataba has the perfect combination of fine, flexible blade and large cut depth making it an extremely versatile saw. These saws are capable of cutting solid hardwood and softwood, plywood and composite materials and will leave a clean finish to the cut surfaces. Due to the design of the saw, the kataba is the saw of choice for making deep or long cuts and can also be used for flush cutting and trimming.
