The ever popular pocket hole guide has now become more versatile. Pocket holes are favoured for creating strong, invisible joints in furniture and cabinets and this kit offers everything you need to start producing successful pocket hole joints from the jig right down to the screws. Made from premium grade aluminium, the pocket hole guide is fully adjustable to accommodate different thicknesses of wood from 1/2” to 1 1/2”. The pitch of the holes can be varied from 1 1/4” to 2 1/2” to suit the size of project giving the woodworker total flexibility when creating joints. The guides can be removed and used free of the base for larger projects. As well as the pocket hole guide, this kit comprises a 6” face clamp to make assembly much easier, a 6” long square drive bit and a 3” long square drive bit both with industry standard 1/4” hex shanks, a 3/8” stepped drill bit, 3/8” depth stop collar, 150 square drive self tapping screws comprising of 50 each of 1”, 1 1/4” and 1 1/2” long screws, allen keys for adjustment features and a toggle clamp. All presented in a blow-moulded plastic case. This set is an excellent investment for any workshop and suitable for both the beginner and more experienced pocket hole joiners. I purchased this pocket hole jig after much research. I was tempted by the Kreg jig but was unsure of how durable a plastic bodied jig would be. Instead I chose this and have been very impressed by performance ever since. The build quality is excellent and the jig is very easy to use, making pocket holes the joint of choice in my workshop.

I'd never used pocket hole joints until I got this kit for my birthday. You can make joints right out of the box as this kit even includes screws! This kit has made jointing wood so much easier no matter what size of timber I'm using. I wish I'd tried pocket hole jointing years ago.

Bought this kit as a replacement for a broken Kreg jig. I use a lot of pocket hole joints and have the Dakota one permanently mounted on my workbench. the toggle clamp is good quality and holds the wood fast while drilling and the jig is incredibly easy to set up. One of the best investments I've made.

I bought this kit as an introduction to pocket hole joinery. I thought the Kreg was too expensive and did not look strong enough for the rigours of day to day work. The Dakota kit is well made and highly adaptable and continues to serve its intended purpose. The added bonus of using one or more of the guides off the jig, in awkward places has proved a real advantage. I have bought several Dakota items and have not been disappointed.
