These heavy duty steel wing dividers feature a holder which will accommodate a full length pencil. Their robust construction makes them ideal for marking out rough stock which often requires higher torques. The wing and locking nut mechanism makes them easy and accurate to adjust and prevents the dividers from spreading during use. Available in two sizes, the 200mm dividers can produce a circle with a maximum radius of 300mm and the 300mm dividers produces a maximum radius of 400mm. ©

I would say that a good pair of dividers are a must have for any workshop. I have the 300mm dividers and they are well made and lock tightly into position. They also work very well as a pair of compasses producing circles without slipping.
