With its sharpened marking wheel, this wheel marking gauge will score straight lines where you need them. Unlike pin marking gauges, where the pin tends to wander with the grain of the wood, this marking gauge slices through the grain for a perfectly straight line. For greater accuracy, the solid brass head features a micro adjust system. To use, unlock both thumb screws, position the head slightly further away than required and lock the rear of the two screws. To adjust, turn the knurled brass part until you have the exact measurement required and lock the front screw. Maximum capacity 120mm. ©

This is the best marking gauge I've used. The wheel is sharp and does not deviate from the marking line like my pin gauge did. The two stage setting system gives this marking gauge that added accuracy as well. Excellent, well made product.
