Standard straight edge utility knife blades are fine for general purpose cutting, scoring and marking but what happens when you need to cut something more abrasive or tougher than usual? This is where the straight edged blade starts to struggle. We have all been in the situation where a utility knife is all there is to hand and really the material requires something far more aggressive. Shaped to fit all standard utility knives, these serrated edge blades make tough or abrasive materials easy to cut. The serrations on the blade act like many smaller blades rather than one single edge making one stroke of the knife much more effective and similar to cutting with a saw. Excellent for cutting difficult materials such as wood, rope, carpet, drywall, insulation an even roofing felts. Supplied in a spring loaded dispenser for safety, this pack contains 25 blades. ©

These blades do cut through anything and I find them more useful than the single edged blades. Don't use anything else in my stanley knife now.

I thought these were a bit gimmicky when I first saw them but they really do work. They made light work of some carpet I needed to cut and have really proved their worth. Would recommend.
