I have been using this device for some months now and would'nt be without it. If you are a low volume framer like my myself this mitre trimmer is for you. It leaves a perfect face for joining and is fast and easy to use. A tip.Make an extention to base for supporting longer lengths of moulding.
The only downside is a lack of spare blades.

As a kitchen fitter and floor layer I find this mitre trimmer invaluable for all my angle finish work. The clean, feather free finish is far superior to any mitre saw finish and you can achieve far greater control and accuracy. After 2 years the blades have only been sharpened once. I used my Tormek grinder and it was a doddle to re establish the edge. If you do a lot of fine woodwork this mitre trimmer will save you time and give a better finish than any mitre saw.

First class tool. The blades will handle lots and lots of resharpening. I am going to order another one just so I have two sets of blades so it can still be used while one pair are sent for sharpening. I use this tool mainly for shaving polymer picture mouldings which are usually quite brittle and it works a treat. The sprung loaded 45 degree stops in the base are a nice touch. The channel the blades slide in is made to close tolerances and I am very impressed with this tool.
