The compact design of this block plane makes it the perfect choice when trimming and making finishing cuts. The all steel body is incredibly strong and the innovative laminated steel sole gives this plane considerable weight while also reducing friction and eliminating any chance of the plane warping. Designed and produced in Switzerland, this block plane uses 48mm wide replacable blades saving the user considerable time and effort sharpening blades. Made from chrome steel, these blades are pre-honed to the correct bevel angle for the plane and are double sided offering even greater value for money. The depth of cut is controlled using a self locking thumb lever and will take both heavy cuts and fine shavings with ease and without chatter even in exotic hardwoods. Due to the design of the plane, the throat will not clog with shavings. Extremely sturdy, this plane is ideal for both workshop and jobsite use. Overall length 130mm. ©
