A triumph of design and function, this exquisite detail rabbet plane features a slender 8mm wide sole. Perfectly formed for cleaning out dadoes and grooves, this plane excels at making very fine cuts in those areas where you would normally use a chisel. The ductile cast iron body features a fixed mouth opening and a bed angle of 15 degrees. The O1 tool steel blade extends the width of the plane allowing it to work right into the sides of drawers and tenon shoulders. The blade's 30 degree bevel combines with the bed angle to give a cutting angle of 45 degrees; ideal for use on all types of wood. A single piece solid brass lever cap and palm rest holds the blade securely in place and fits comfortably in the palm of the hand. The sole measures a mere 3" in length. This is a beautiful plane and one worthy of any craftsman's tool collection. ©
