This miniature edge plane is exquisite and entirely functional. A 1/3 of the scale of the full sized edge plane, this miniature version is suitable for working stock up to 10mm thick and is ideal for box makers and makers of dolls houses, miniatures and other similar items. The body measures 60mm in length and is made from investment cast steel, precision ground on all reference faces to be flat and square. Cast into the body of the plane, the bed is set at an angle of 12 degrees. Combined with the 25 degree bevel of the A2 steel blade, this plane has a cutting angle of 37 degrees making it an excellent choice for working with end grain. The blade is skewed at an angle of 30 degrees to shear through the wood leaving a fine, smooth finish in its wake. Made from A2 steel, the blade measures 13mm in width and 1.5mm thick. This plane comes presented in a fitted leatherette box. Made in Canada. ©
