This Swiss designed and produced rebate plane features an all steel body and innovative laminated sole. The laminated sole plate offers many benefits; preventing the plane from warping, reducing friction in use while also adding considerable weight to the plane. Due to its design this plane will make perfect, chatter free cuts in all woods including exotic hardwoods. Using 30mm replacable chrome steel blades, this plane eliminates the down time associated with blade sharpening and means that the user is never without a sharp blade; perfect for use on site when carrying sharpening tools is impractical. Depth of cut is controlled precisely using the self locking thumb lever and with the special design of the plane, the throat will not clog with shavings. The blade runs the full width of the plane allowing it to work right up to flat surfaces and into corners. For ultra precise work, a fence for the rebate plane is available as an optional extra.
