Spokeshaves are a favourite amongst windsor chair makers, paddle makers and any other woodworker who needs to perform free hand shaping. This flat faced spokeshave has a high quality malleable iron body with raised handles which conform to the contours of the hand to offer a more natural grip and, ultimately, better control. The shape of the handles allows this spokeshave to be either pulled towards the user or pushed away from them, which ever is the users preferred working method. Ideally suited to the creation of convex curves, this spokeshave has a 2 1/8" wide high carbon steel blade which is hardened to Rc-58 and can be adjusted for cut depth using the knurled thumbscrews. With an overall length of 10" and weighs 375g. ©
