This new Powercap Lite is the latest solution for use in the workshop against woodworking dust or airborne hazards. It has no trailing leads or battery pack as all the components are built within the headpiece resulting in is a major step forward in user comfort and convenience. The unit has integral lithium Ion batteries which are the latest technology to power a 4 hour unit. This respirator gives a cooling comfortable supply of filtered air at 160 litres per minute over the face. The filtration level is the equivalent to FFP2 for protection against fine dusts, fibers, aqueous mists and oil based mists. Filters are changed when they are blocked not after just an 8 hour shift as on disposable masks. The high capacity pleated filter cartridges are long lasting and a flow gauge supplied in the package enables the user to determine when the filter need changing. The cap gives bump protection to EN812 making it suitable when working in confined spaces when there is a danger of bumping or scraping the head. Weighing only 500 grammes this powerful respirator can be worn comfortably for long periods. An excellent respirator ideal for the discerning home woodworker, wood turner and cabinetmaker. This is definitely the best powered respirator I've used and certainly the lightest. It gives a good flow of air even when the filters are getting full. The impact resistant cap is a bonus too as my workshop has a couple of low beams.
