Having the ability to produce straight, square cuts with a handsaw is a fundamental requirement of woodworking. Regardless of whether you are simply cutting a piece of wood in two or are cutting joints or tenon shoulders, if the cut is not square, the finish of your work will be compromised. These saw guides are very simple to use. Available in two lengths, these saw guides are machined from aluminium and have a smooth, black anodised finish. Each guide has a 32mm tall support surface for the saw to reference and three rare earth magnets embedded in the guide keep the saw flat to the surface of the guide. The magnets are covered with UHMW plastic pads preventing them from damaging the saw blade. The guide is L shaped and its base is broad for excellent support and balance on the work. This base features a t-track on the underside to accept the optional guide clamps which give you unobtrusive clamping on work up to 51mm thick. The base also has two high friction slips on the bottom to prevent the guide from moving around in use. Compatible with any kind of saw; Western style, Japanese style, back saws, these guides can be used on any project. Available in 200mm and 350mm lengths. Made in Canada. ©
