Faster than using a standard screwdriver, this spiral ratchet screw driver translates the users forward motion into a rotary motion making large screwing jobs less fatiguing. The precision machined archimede's screw offers a smooth consistant movement along the full 135mm travel of the shaft and a three stage clutch gives the option of forward for tightening screws, reverse for backing out screws and a fixed motion for high torque screwing. One full movement of the handle gives two full revolutions of the bit. A locking collar allows the screwdriver to be fixed in its contracted position for ease of storage. The 1/4" chuck accepts standard yankee screwdriver bits. Featuring a heavy duty moulded handle, this screwdriver comes with 4 screwdriver bits. Dimensions are 440mm extended and 305mm compressed. ©

I use my old Yankee more now than I ever did before. Unlike my Makita drill driver it never runs out of battery and I get much better control.When cordless drills first came out I put my Yankee in the cupboard thinking it would be obsolete. Not a chance.

I was disappointed with the variety and quality of bits that came with this driver, so I bought a hex adaptor to allow me to use my standard hex shank bits. This should come as standard with the tool. Otherwise I'm happy with the driver, it's good value for money and performs well; it won't displace my cordless driver but I'm glad to have just the same!

Great screwdriver. I've owned one for years and it has served me well. Only one gripe and that is replacement bits: can't get 'em for love nor money! Slightly disappointed to note that Rutlands don't offer them either.....???
