This premium quality honing guide will accept chisels and plane irons from 0 - 2 5/8" in width. Like the No 1 honing guide, the unique design of the guide uses the existing bevel edge as the reference for resharpening. By holding the blade, bevel down, under the guide, this honing guide produces accurate, repeatable results everytime it is used. Two steel guide rods sit on the back of the chisel keeping it in place during sharpening. The two brass bobbin style rollers are produced as a matched pair to ensure a maxmium deviation in the honed edge of 0.0005" or better. Covering the brass rollers are Ertalite TX which has a low co-efficient of friction and is self lubricating giving the honing guide a smooth effortless motion. An unobtrusive brass screw gives infinite and precise width adjustment to suit any blade. Made in England from premuim quality brass and steel. Highly recommended. ©
