A granite surface plate offers an ultra flat face on which to sharpen planer blades, re-flatten water stones and level plane beds. Measuring 9" x 12" x 2" this plate is best used with wet, wet and dry sandpaper. The wet sandpaper sticks to the surface of the plate through the capillary action of the water in the sandpaper and does not require glue or self adhesive sandpaper. Once the sharpening is finished, the paper can be peeled from the stone and the stone wiped dry ready for use the next time. Accurate to 0.0001". ©
