Supplied in a leather wallet these 6" x 2" continuous diamond bench stones feature Eze Lap's patented diamond bonding process to ensure the flattest , most consistent diamond tool sharpening stone.The accuracy of the face of the stone is favoured by cabinet makers for bench plane flatting off and rehoning of chisels.A special heat treatment process bonds the highest quality industrial grade diamond particles in a stainless alloy.This results in a long lasting hard wearing surface that allows you to sharpen tungsten carbide , high speed steel , stainless steels , ceramic and even specialist tool steels.Three diamond grits are available.Medium (400 grit) for fast sharpening where a high finish quality is required ie auger bits , wood chisels and knives.Fine ( 600 grit) that has the ability to sharpen a dull knife in less than a minute and bring the edge to a razor sharp finish ie router cutters , spindle moulder tooling , kitchen knives and general woodworking tools.Superfine (1200 grit) is designed to polish and fine finish to mirror perfection , ie scalpels , plane irons , carbide router cutters and fine edged woodworking tools. ©

I inherited a batch of good quality chisels which have suffered various ignominies over the years, and some of them now could quite safely be given to an inquisitive toddler with no possible danger of injury! Tonight I spent the best part of an hour rehabilitating one of these chisels to its former glory using an Eze Lap medium diamond stone and a Dakota honing guide. My wrists are tired but the chisel has a newly-bevelled edge and acts like a chisel, not a garden spade. The Eze Lap stone is recommended.
