Offering a sharpening solution to any profile of gouge, chisel and spindle moulder knife, this comprehensive set of high quality abrasive files is a must for every serious woodworker. With its combination of both man made India stones and naturally occuring hard translucent Arkansas stones, this kit is capable of putting a razor sharp edge on any tool. The India stones are made from aluminium oxide particles and are favoured by many woodworkers as they do not cut agressively and allow the forming of a sharp, precise edge. Once established, the sharp edge can be further honed and polished to a razor sharp edge by using the corresponding hard translucent Arkansas stone. As these files are produced from hard compounds they will hold their shape through years of use, unlike softer stones, and this results in more accurate profile sharpening. This kit comprises 27 profiled slip stones and files for the sharpening of carving tools, woodturning tools, gouges, knife blades and even auger bits. Presented in a vinyl stone roll. ©
