The cast iron and steel construction of these F clamps makes them incredibly sturdy and capable of exerting very high clamping pressures. The solid steel clamp rail has a contoured cross section for greater resistance to bending and deforming during clamping. The fast action jaws are produced from cast iron giving them considerable gripping strength and feature no mar pads to protect the work piece from damage. These jaws feature a thick painted finish for extra durability and a long working life. Offering full and easy movement along the clamp rail, the lower jaw operates on a clutchless system where inserts engage with the serrations on the clamp rail to keep it in position. When the lower jaw is tilted, the inserts disengage and the jaw is free to move. Straighten the jaw and the inserts engage with the serrations again holding the jaw firm. The rolled acme screw thread is fast acting and runs smoothly for effortless high pressure clamping. Featuring a large painted wooden handle, these clamps are quick and comfortable to operate. With a throat depth of 120mm and available in two clamping capacities, these cast iron F clamps represent excellent value for money. ©
