Capable of exerting clamping forces up to 5000N, these all steel construction, quick action bar clamps offer an accurate and convenient way of clamping. For greater tensile strength the bar is made from cold drawn steel and features a cross section to prevent bending under load. This bar has a galvanised finish to prevent corrosion and protect the work piece. The moving head contains four hardened rollers which keep it at a constant 90o angle to the bar and perfectly parallel to the fixed head when clamping. By keeping the jaws parallel in this way, even pressure is exerted by the entire jaw face which prevents the work piece from warping or distorting when under pressure. The moveable jaw has hardened steel inserts which positively engage with the serrations running the entire length of the clamp bar to eliminate slippage during use. Encased in glue resistant polypropylene, the steel jaws will not damage or mark the work piece even at full clamping pressure. For rapid operation, the die cast aluminium handle is lifted to allow the head full and unrestricted movement along the bar. Once in position the handle is then used to tighten the jaws. The large acme screw thread ensures maximum clamping pressure is achieved with the minimum number of turns. These professional quality clamps have a jaw width of 37mm and a throat depth of 85mm. I've been using standard sash cramps for years, and decided to take a look at these as an alternative. These Clamps are outstanding value for money and are very high quality. I ordered more as soon as soon as my first lot arrived. They really do stay parallel to the surface and you can get good pressure with a minimum of effort. Highly recommended, you won't regret buying some of these...

I bought 8 of the 31" capacity clamps and I am NOT disappointed. There quality of build and clamping ability is second to none. I gues the only comment (definitely not a critisism) is that they are heavy, but thats due to the quality construction. Now looking to get some 51" clamps.

For the money these clamps are on the money. Bessy clamps they are not, but your getting close. I bought the pack of 4 50" clamps, they are in constant use, not let me down yet.
