These are the first genuine rapid action clamps we have found. No continual twisting of handles, no fine adjustments needed just squeeze the handle to deploy the jaws. The incredibly sturdy gearing mechanism means that these clamps are easy to position and give exceptional clamping pressure, up to 2700N, with very little effort. Featuring solid steel jaws, these clamps have a durable powder coat finish to ensure a long working life. The steel bar has an I shape cross section giving the clamps the ability to exert high clamping pressures without bending or flexing. A removable soft rubber no mar foot on the fixed jaw and a smooth steel face on the movable jaw protect the work piece during clamping. The lever operated clamping mechanism is self locking, positively engaging with a gear to prevent creep even under maximum load. Cam mounted, the movable jaw automatically finds the correct position against the work piece for the best possible clamping results and eliminates all risk of over tightening. Exceptional in their performance these clamps should be resident in every woodworker's workshop. ©

Very easy to use. I like the self levelling jaw and the one handed operation. They make the whole clamping process very quick and feel very strong and powerful when clamping. I bought some of the 300mm ones and will certainly buy some of the longer 450mm ones too.

I have over the years accumulated a large range of clamps,these Dakota quick release clamps certainly have the pressure required.Unfortunately they can`t be reversed for spreading.Never the less a very good value for money tool.
