How many times have you needed to clamp a work piece and found the clamps get in your way? You could use a vacuum table but these are expensive and take up valuable workshop space. These innovative bench cookies are the perfect way to hold a work piece securely while routing, sanding, or finishing without obstructing the surface being worked. Sitting out of the way under the work piece, each cookie has two high friction rubber surfaces which grip the bench and the work piece and keeps it firmly in place preventing it from wandering even under load. The core of the cookie is hard, highly durable and will not deform under working pressure keeping the work piece elevated and perfectly stable; ideal when routing edges or finishing. It is amazing how such a simple idea can be so useful. Sold in a pack of four, these cookies will grip surfaces firmly without risk of damage. Each cookie measures 76mm in diameter and 25mm thick allowing them to offer reliable, unobtrusive support to any size of work. Just remember that these cookies are not for dunking in your tea!

It's about time these were available over here!! I've had mine for several weeks now and there are two main advantages over rubber matting - cookies will raise the work piece clear of your bench for template routing or trimming and they won't leave oily prints on a freshly sanded surface. Despite their size, their grip is surprisingly strong and they seem to grip my oiled workbench top much better than a rubber mat, which tends to slide around. Not a replacement for the rubber mats, in my opinion; just another alternative solution to work holding. Both have their own advantages in certain situations although, single mats are generally cheaper compared to a pack of four cookies.

Remarkably good grip, even when liberally covered in dust. Having used them to hold a variety of sizes of workpiece I think that a pack of six would be ideal for larger and irregular shaped pieces.
