This folding pocket knife features a single bevelled blade and is an ideal companion in the workshop. The blade is bevelled on the right hand side, for right hand use, and is an excellent knife for carving and whittling and may also be used as a marking knife as well as for general cutting tasks around the home and garden. With its blue paper steel core, this blade will take a fine, razor like edge. Blue paper steel is a high carbon steel with tungsten and chromium added. These additives make the steel tougher, less brittle and more durable than pure high carbon steel. A layer of softer steel is forge welded on top of this core to give extra protection against damage to the core. The blade folds in and out of the handle and a release catch is situated on the back of the handle for easy release of the blade. The shaped handle is made from Japanese cherry, a rich, warm coloured wood which offers a striking contrast to the hammer finishing on the top of the blade. An eyelet in the handle allows the knife to be hung up. We recommend that the blade is cleaned after use and given a light coat of tool oil. Blade length 100mm, overall length 230mm.
