The Hunter is Brusletto's most popular knife. Selling well in excess of one million units since 1961, the Hunter features a fixed, flat ground blade which makes it perfectly shaped for cutting, splitting, whittling and an ideal companion when gardening, woodworking or camping. The blade is hand forged from Swedish Sandvik 12C27 stainless steel, a premium quality steel, 45 years in development, that offers excellent edge holding properties and a perfect balance between hardness and toughness. This ensures the blade of a Hunter will have a fine, razor sharp edge and is hard without being brittle giving long lasting sharpness. For added strength and stability the blade and tang are forged in one piece. The tang runs deep into the handle and the shaped aluminium ferrule supports the assembly as well as offering a finger guard to the user. Made from native curly grained birch, the handle is shaped to fit snugly in the hand giving a secure, comfortable grip in use. The handle is impregnated with a linseed oil finish making it durable and weatherproof. This is an exceptional general purpose knife and is supplied with a cowhide sheath that can be mounted on a belt. This sheath features an internal safety lining to protect the blade when not in use.
