A short bladed, convex ground work knife that is excellent for detailed work such as carving and whittling, the Rognald knife features an ergonomically contoured handle that fits snugly in the hand giving you absolute control of the blade. The blade is hand forged from Swedish 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel, a steel specially formulated for making edge tools that is hard without being brittle, strong and will hold and retain a razor sharp edge. The tang, which is forged with the blade from a single piece of steel, is almost the same length as the blade giving this knife a very solid feel. The handle is hand turned from Norwegian curly grained birch and impregnated with linseed oil to nourish and protect the wood. Included with this knife is a sheath made from premium quality cowhide. The sheath features a loop for belt mounting and a safety insert to protect the knife when not in use. Made in Norway. ©
