Designed to sit in the steel compartment of a standard knife block, the BlockMate knife sharpener is easier and quicker to use than a sharpening steel. The overlapping configuration of the sharpening wheels ensures that the blade is always sharpened at the correct angle leaving a perfect hollow ground razor sharp edge. Using a three stone, two-stage sharpening system, the BlockMate has diamond enhanced ceramic wheels to set a new edge and will also hone and polish. Stage one of the process sharpens the blade at an angle of 23 degrees, stage two hones at an angle of 30 degrees.
