With their straighter profile and deeper flute, bowl gouges are well suited to rapid stock removal and the hollowing out of open, shallow vessels. The straight rather than profiled cutting edge reduces the risk of gouging when hollowing out. The semi circular back allows for the tool to be rolled from one edge to the other though the cut ensuring a clean finish. Available in three sizes, these bowl gouges have high speed steel blades and American walnut handles. ©
