FULL DESCRIPTION
Supplied as a set of two, these magnetic saw guides will keep your saw square to your workpiece. Made from aluminium, they are held against the work piece either by hand or secured with a clamp. The 25mm high, machined reference face is embedded with a series of 18mm diameter rare earth magnets and faced with a 1mm thick strip of ribbed, low friction UHMW. The magnets assist in holding the saw square throughout the cut and the UHMW strip ensures the saw glides smoothly back and forth.

On the underside of the saw guide is a full width high friction strip to prevent the guide from slipping on the surface of the wood. The guides are made from aircraft-grade aluminium which is beautifully finished in black electro-coating and a metric graduated scale, in 1mm increments is etched to the surface for use as a precision rule.

The set comprises of a 200mm saw guide with three rare earth magnets and a 400mm saw guide with 4 rare earth magnets. Both guides measure 70mm in width with a 25mm face. Two additional strips of UHMW tape and a metre length of double side tape are supplied with the set. These guides are excellent for use with both Japanese and Western saws and are particularly useful when cross cutting tenons and producing dado's and dovetails. These are exceptionally easy to use guides. ©

I would highly recommend purchasing these saw guides, for anyone who requires accurate cuts they work perfectly with the Japanese saws I bought and have tried them with my European saws also, with great results. Add them to your tool box you won't be disappointed.

Super accurate and easy to use. I use mine all of the time with the power grip Japanese saws I bought as the same time. They do not need to be clamped at all as they grip to the stock really well. Perfect cuts every time.

I tend to use the smaller guide more often when sawing smaller stock but have used the larger guide often too. I particularly like how the magnets hold the saw to the guide to almost guarantee a perfect cut every time.

I'm doing a lot of hand sawing at the moment as I'm building a cabin well away from any source of power. I've used these guides to cut decking, CLS timber and other stock and they really do help in cutting square and true. The set of two seem to be just the right size for any job.
