This premium performance rotary tool features a precision gear mechanism to ensure a rotational accuracy of +/- 0.001mm. The 170W soft-start motor, has variable speed control from 8000 to 35000rpm, is virtually vibration free and is extremely quiet in use. This multi tool can be used for prolonged periods when drilling, milling, grinding, polishing, cleaning and engraving and is suitable for jewellers, mechanics, model builders and electronic enthusiasts. The body of the tool features a non-slip soft grip to ensure a good purchase and all of the controls are at finger tip reach during operation.

The keyless chuck, 0.3 to 3.2mm, accepts a wide range of industry standard accessories. A hanging loop is used to connect the tool to the stand when coupled up to the flexible shaft . The 1m long flexible shaft has a plastic coated steel core and is fitted with a slim line hand piece. The stand is telescopic and expands to a maximum height of 600mm and will clamp on to any work surface up to 60mm thick.

Supplied in a canvas carry case the kit comes with rotary tool, power grip handle, flexible shaft, telescopic stand, drilling guide and a 125 piece accessory kit containing sanding, polishing, sawing, grinding and drilling accessories. ©

An excellent value tool for anyone dipping their

An excellent value tool for anyone dipping their toes into the world of power carving. I've been using it with Kutzall burrs and it's eaten through the oak & ash that I work on without much difficulty. I think I'll ultimately add a die grinder to my tools for more heavy duty tasks, but for the time being this does a good job of the shaping & texturing jobs I've asked of it.As previous reviews have mentioned, the selection of bits that come with the tool is bewildering and without any form of explanation. This doesn't detract from the overall good value of the machine itself, however.I found the flex shaft attachment to be underpowered, though it does work OK for detail work with smaller diameter cutters.The additional grip handle is excellent and really makes a difference to the stability and ergonomics of the tool.Overall a good beginner tool for those like myself that want an introduction to power carving without the expense of one of the established brands or more powerful machine.

Having read the three listed reviews it is really impossible to add to these. As always with Rutlands, good web site, easy to follow each step, product arrives on due date, neatly and securely packaged and as soon as you open it you know you have a quality product, well thought out, sturdy and will no doubt give years of use.
