These precision set up blocks allow you to quickly and accurately set up blades, router bits, drill bits, dado blades, fences, gauges and more. The blocks eliminate the need for tape measures or rulers when setting up, while guaranteeing a highly precise measurement. They can be placed onto machine beds or tabletops, leaving two hands free for machine setup.

They are precision milled from aircraft grade aluminium and are accurate to 0.025mm. Each block has been laser engraved with its size for easy identification. The blocks are supplied in 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20 and 25mm heights, with the 25mm block also offering a 50mm and a 75mm dimension. The blocks can be stacked to give incremental heights from 1mm through to 25mm. The set of 14 blocks are supplied in a protective hard plastic storage case. ©

Purchased these for multiple tool setup, bandsaw,tablesaw, router and any other applications where needed. Well packaged, delivered on time and as usual perfectly manufactured as I have come to expect from Rutlands many thanks

Height gauges

These gauges, to use a technical term are the dog’s bollox. Very easy to use, far quicker than messing around with tape measures and depth gauges. Packaged in a decent box. They were delivered to me here in South Africa as quickly as a letter sent from London gets to Glasgow. Oh and Rutland are the first company I found who were selling metric versions of the gauges, and believe me I’ve looked .

"Those are nice" Remarked my friend, " but what do you use them for?"
an hour later he was a convert. Positioning things, shimming things, spacing things. Once you have set of these you will wonder how you ever did without them.
Above all I use them for machine set up where they are quick and easy to use and absolutely indispensable

Set me up, Scottie!

Like others I'd put off buying these because of the price. When they were on sale I grabbed a set. Well made, good accuracy. You probably wouldn't want to use them for measuring down to the nanometre, but who does that in their shed? Well within tolerances for practical woodwork. The case is also a plus: holds them well and encourages you to put them away when you've finished with them.The 3-2-1 block will probably get most use but it's a lot easier to set depths/heights on routers and table saws with the other blocks rather than using a digital depth gauge.
Rutlands service on this and all the previous items I've bought second to none.
